Working from home, most agents will link with a host agency. The home agent has a choice to make reservations through the host's booking engine or have access to a live airline computer system like SABRE or Amadeus. In order to operate a live system, the agent must have GDS Format Training. The Independent Contractor program consists of three sections
- Basic Travel Industry Instruction
- 25 hours of GDS Computer Training (SABRE, Amadeus, Apollo, Worldspan or Galileo)
- Step-by-Step Instruction on how to start your own home-based agency
We combine online study guides and Web sites with some of the most recognized travel reference materials on the market today.
Throughout your training, experienced instructors are available via e-mail or the toll-free number. You will enjoy weekly instructional chat rooms where you can network with fellow students and graduates and meet some of today's preferred suppliers.
Upon successful completion of the program, the student will receive a transcript of his or her grades and will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.
