To qualify for the Scholarship, follow these 5 steps:
- Enroll in Career Quest Training Center using this registration form (Do not enroll directly through the main Career Quest Training Center website as you will not be eligible for the scholarship.)
- Complete the Travel Agent At Home program in four months or less
- Graduate the program with an overall average of 85%
- Pay the $595 tuition in full prior in order to graduate
- Affiliate with Avoya Travel within 30 days of graduating
Upon verification from Avoya Travel the $200 Refund will be processed within 30 days.
Career Quest Training Center
Career Quest Training Center is proud to announce that Avoya Travel has endorsed Career Quest's Independent Agency Training Program for their scholarship program. The Independent Agency Training Program will provide a working knowledge of the travel industry, an understanding of the technical skills needed to operate a travel business and guidelines to set up your home based agency according to industry standards. As a distance education program, you receive materials to work with and have an online study guide for your assignments, power point presentations and quizzes. You have the flexibility to set your own schedule and proceed at your own pace. If you have the time to devote to the program, you could complete this program in 4 months.
Below is an overview of the Agency Training Program:
Section 1 - Introduction to the Travel Industry
This section examines the major segments of the travel industry as it applies to destination geography and how the characteristics of these destinations influence travel.
Section 2 - Domestic and International Travel
It is important to understand how airlines differ, including the types of flights and classes of service offered. This section discusses the roles of FAA, NTBS and TSA and passenger rights and responsibilities.
Section 3 - Ground Transportation and Accommodations
Since 90% of American trips include some form of ground transportation, it is important to look at the influence of rail services, car rentals and motor coach transportation in the US and Europe. This sections will discuss the major trends in accommodations help describe some key market segments
Section 4 - Planning and Selling Cruises and Tours
This section introduces the key types of cruise lines, popular cruising areas and the factors and benefits used to sell a cruise. The key components of a tour, the tour contract and the features and benefits used to sell a land vacation will be discussed.
Section 4 - Carnival Passport Education for Avoya Travel
This section of your training has been designed by Carnival Cruise Line and will take place on the Carnival Passport training site. Due to Avoya Travel's preferred partnership with Carnival, a customized Learning Path has been created for you.
Section 5 - Group Tour Planning
The assignment for this section will require the student to research and plan a 14 day tour for two different types of groups.
Section 6 - Business Plans
The basic criteria of a business plan for a home based travel agency is discussed outlining your expectations and level of income.
Section 7 - Understanding a Home Based Travel Business
Establishing your business name, obtaining the proper licenses, opening bank accounts and organizing your office are topics covered in this section.
Section 8 - Legalities of a Home Based Agency
Sole Proprietor vs. LLC, E&O and travel insurance, credit card sales and tax benefits are important issues discussed in this section.
Section 9 - Marketing Your Home Based Agency
A marketing plan is nothing more than deciding when and where you will be marketing while staying within your budget. This section will help you define your marketing efforts on a weekly basis.
Section 10 - Selling and Customer Service
This sections concludes the program by helping a new agent develop sales techniques and level of customer service they want to provide clients.

Enrolling is Easy
Complete the enrollment form, choose a payment plan and enter your credit card information. Submit the enrollment form to Career Quest and we will process your registration and ship your materials within 3-4 business days. Once you receive your materials, you are ready to start the program. You must complete the training in 4 months or less to receive the scholarship credit.
